Volume electron microscopy allows researchers to visualise the intricate ultrastructure of organelles, cells and tissues enabling the interrogation of their complex relationships with their environment, at nm resolution across micron scales.
We are looking for awesome vEM images! Submit your vEM image for a $500 prize! Submit an image to our competition and win up to a 500 USD prize for the 1st place and 100 USD for the 2nd and 3rd places! Submit an image by 16:00 BST on Fri 18th October here: https://forms.gle/AMfKC4hAz9suBMJh6
Public voting will happen on the vEM website from the 21st-24th October and the winners will be announced at the vEM Technology Forum.

EVENTS
💡 The Frederick National Laboratoryis hosting an in-person 2 day “vEM101” workshop on the 26th and 27th of September 2024. Apply here: https://frederick.cancer.gov/events/vem-101-volume-electron-microscopy
The first Volume EM Technology Forum will take place on Harwell Campusfrom 22nd to 24th October 2024.
The conference will include technical talks, posters and panel discussions, alongside demo lounges for hardware and software, and group activities to continue to build the vEM community. Visit us here to stay connected. More details will be available in early 2024.
This workshop will cover entire array tomography (AT) workflows including sample preparation, serial ultramicrotomy, light and electron microscopy, and image analysis. Practicals include traditional AT methods like rigid support AT and automated tape collecting ultramicrotomy (ATUM), correlative and conjugate light and electron microscopy. Novel technologies will also be discussed. Apply here: Workshop 2024 - ARRAY TOMOGRAPHY
Chairs: Kedar Narayan and Yannick Schwab. Vice Chairs: Christel Genoud and Aubrey V. Wigel. Place: Barcelona, Spain. The conference will consist of nine sessions, the preliminary program will be available by August 7, 2024. Please check back for updates.
