Focussed Interest Groups

Volume electron microscopy (vEM) encompasses a wide range of technical disciplines, and a diverse spectrum of research questions and applications. To expand the reach of vEM and strengthen global networks, the community is currently working to establish focussed interest groups (FIGs) to bring together groups of vEM enthusiasts with shared interests for stimulating discussions, knowledge exchange, and more!

The direction that each group takes, the breadth of topics covered, and how deeply it dives, will of course be determined by the interests of those involved, under guidance of the group chairs.

Current proposed vEM Figs are:
  • Array Tomography (Jemima Burden, Martina Schifferer and Kristina Micheva) - link for more info and contact form
  • Correlative Multimodal vEM: Electrons, X-rays and Neutrons (Charles Wood)- link for more info and contact form
  • Serial Block-Face SEM (Flavia Moreira-Leite) - link for more info and contact form

In order to gauge demand, we seek expressions of interest from the community. So, if you see a gap in the market, please do get in touch using the form below.
